Hi :) I've never owned a chessie of my own, but I have fallen in love with them from pictures and descriptions after meeting one in person who impressed me very much. I've been a dog lover all my life, and have had many pets over the years. Currently I own an aging Beagle female who is wonderful with our other pets (cat, rabbit, and ferret) and absolutely superb with young children of any age (my own two boys are nine and a half, and eight).
I have recently started looking in Southern NJ to buy an inexpensive female Chesapeake Bay Retriever puppy to add to our loving family; but have been dissappointed to find only a few breeders listed on the internet with pups that cost a small fortune. I do not plan to use the dog to hunt, and am not picky about bloodlines. I only desire good health certs and beautiful brown coloring. Can anyone help me find the perfect dog, yet still be affordable to a tight-budgeted family of four? => |

| Hi.I am a nyc police officer in 5th pct located in the chinatown/little Italy section of lower manhattan. Last night 12/01/03 we found a lost siberian or a alaskan malamute puppy on canal st. we r currently trying to locate a huskie rescue shelter but we r having no luck.I was wondering if u might know of anyone or of any huskie shelters that might be interested.She looks very healthy& very people oriented. | Last November I lost my Chessie Bitch to Lyphoma at age of 7years. She was one of those dogs you get once in a lifetime. She left behind 22 pups from 2 litters, all the Pups were placed in good family homes with at least one member hunting them on a regular basis. I see most of them from time to time as they are regular visitors to my home. My problem is that I no longer have a good hunting dog. I would love to bring to New Zealand a Male who could be used as a Stud over one of the Bitches or a Bitch that was in pup.Can anyone help me? The Pool of available Chessies in New Zealand is very small so breeding here at the moment is a no no. |

We recently had to put our 12 year old boy (our second chessie) to sleep due to degenerative myelopathy and we
are looking to adopt another boy (less than 5 years old and housebroken).
We live in Montgomery County, PA but will travel
from NJ to Delaware, with no problems, and beyond if necessary.
If anyone knows of a chessie that needs a good home,

| Hi- I am the owner of three Chessies- 1 is a rescue dog from Jane Peabody in Maine. (Love her to pieces though she has a history of 2 bites over territorial issues-I would love input on how other people have dealt with this challenging Chessie behavior.) Also- there is a handsome male Chessie, 6 yrs. old, at the Springfield, Vt. Humane Society. He's been there for well over a year, because though he is calm and friendly he is not house-broken. I wish I could take him but am at my critter limit. |

| Found your site for the first time today. Enjoyed it and your welcoming tone as well as your obvious commitment to helping! We had a six month old lt deadgrass female stolen from ex-husband's farm near Dansville, MI last September. We miss her terribly and continue to look for her in shelters and on Websites. We would love to adopt an older Chessie who needs a family with teenage kids to love. Also, would love to hear if someone knows of our "Liza Jane" who is a very sweet girl. Hi
I'm looking for a CBR puppy. I had a big red/orange CBR who passed away 2yrs ago. That CBR was the best dog I ever had and the whole family really misses him. If you know of anyone who is trying to give away or sell(good price) in the southern Maine/Nh area, pls let me know. I also would consider a rescue CBR that would be a great family dog who likes other dogs and children (ages 9,5). Thank-you in advance for your help
